| Born
and raised in San Antonio, he beagn performing in elementary
school. He began professionally in 1985 with David Lee Garza
and Los Musicales, then formed his own band, Rio, and signed
with Cara/CBS Records in 1989. |

has twice been nominated for Grammys for "Best Mexican-American
Performance" category, Nine time Tejano Music Awards
"Male Entertainer of the Year", Six time Tejano
Music Awards "Album of the Year", and four time
Tejano Music Awards "Male Vocalist of the Year".
"Emilio Tejanos for Children" foundation is Emilio
and Cindy Navaira's flagship charity. The foundation was founded
in 1990 and since it's inception has raised over $600,000
thrugh increased community awareness. |

marks the release of one of the most anticipated projects
in the Tejano Music Industry, Emilio Navaira's "10th
Anniversary"album. The "KIng Of Tejano" as
he is called in the United States, and "El Rey de Los
Rodeos" as he is called in Mexico by many of his adoring
fans. Emilio has put forth an effort of epic proportions in
his "10th Anniversary Album" which lays it all out
on the line for his fans to enjoy. |
