Songwriter ..... |
 |
| Gary
P. Nunn designated Official Ambassador to the World
byTexas Govenor Mark White in 1985, who proposed
that "London Homesick Blues", a.k.a. "Home
With The Armadillo" or "What I LIke About
Texas" become the official state song! Both songs
were written and recorded by Gary P. Nunn! "London Homesick
Blues" has been the theme song for the popular PBS series,
Austin City Limits, and Nunn was tapped to Headline
the 15th year anniversary of Austin City Limits Concert with
a lineup that included Leo Koetke, Lyle Lovett, and the Gatlin
Brothers! |
| As
a songwriter, Gary P. Nunn has penned over 30 songs which
have appeared on major record labels by major recording artists
such as Willie Nelson, Rosanne Cash, Michael Martin Murphy,
and David Allen Coe, many of which have earned him recognition
and awards from BMI, and several Gold Records! However, he
has been in greater demand to perform at events throughout
Texas, in U.S., and Europe for those who are looking for a
Genuine Texas Musical Experience as his extensive repertoire
consists almost entirely of hos own original hits, tunes from
his ever-growing Nunn Publishing Company, tunes that
he arranged and produced for other Texas artists, but all
tunes by Texas Writers and Performers. |
| Despite
his low-key approach, Gary P. Nunn's accomplishments have
given him a name recognition that increasingly is being sought
after by advertising agencies and companies who want to use
his name, image and music to promote their products! The Monterrey
House Tex-Mex Restaurant chain selected him as their spokesman
for anew radio ad campaign, and they reporting vastly increased
sales! Gibson Guitar Inc. brought him on board to endorse
their fine guitars! Other major Corporations are negotiating
for his services. |
