The Coastliners Vocal Group, ..... In the decade of the 60's, The Coastliners were one of the most sought after groups in Texas. Their surfing sounds and high vocal harmonies are the group's greatest attributes, which mesmerized audiences along the coast from Galveston to Miami. In 1965, The Coastliners released "Alright" which made it to number two on the Houston radio charts only to be beaten by Elvis' number one hit "Puppet on a String'. 'She's My Girl' and 'California on my Mind' were the biggest selling records of the group, hitting the National Billboard charts. Keeping their fingers crossed, The Coastliners are potential candidates for the Gulf Coast Hall of Fame. The next installation is January of 2000. The Coastliners' success formula has always been their love of music and hard work. They are applying the same formula 30 years later. It seems to be working again and The Coastliners live on!
